Trump promises not to send Americans to foreign wars
Trump, during the election campaign, promised to end U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts, saying he would not send Americans to fight in "stupid" wars abroad.
Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, said during his election campaign that if he returned to the White House, the United States would stop participating in foreign wars. He noted that during his presidency, the country avoided military conflicts and sought peace using force. "In my time, the United States did not wage war. We achieved peace through force. It's wonderful," Trump stressed. He also expressed the opinion that Americans should not go to war and die in countries about which they know little. "I will not send you to fight and die in stupid foreign conflicts," he added, assuring his supporters of his intention to change the course of the country's foreign policy.
