Trump Declares Gaza Will Be U.S. Property, But Taxpayers Won’t Pay for It
During a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington will not purchase the Gaza Strip, but it will be under American ownership.

Trump’s Position
"We’re not going to buy anything—we’ll get it, and it will be ours. We will ensure peace, no problems, no doubts, and we will manage it very well," Trump said.
He also emphasized:
— Palestinians will receive land in Jordan and another piece in Egypt.
— Annexation of the West Bank by Israel "will work".
— He is 99% sure that an agreement with Egypt can be reached.
Reaction from Jordan and Egypt
King Abdullah II did not explicitly reject the idea of relocating Palestinian refugees.
Following the meeting, reports suggested that:
— Jordan may accept Palestinians from the West Bank, as well as seriously ill children from Gaza;
— Egypt may take in residents of Gaza.
So far, Jordan has confirmed its willingness to accept 2,000 sick Palestinian children.
Implications and Consequences
Trump’s statements have sparked serious concerns, as they suggest the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland. This plan effectively legitimizes their expulsion while disregarding Palestinian rights to self-determination.
World leaders either remain silent or tacitly support Washington’s new political course in the region.
