According to CNN, the Israeli government has generally supported the draft truce agreement with the Lebanese Hezbollah group, based on U.S. guarantees to continue supporting Israeli operations to prevent the restoration of the group's positions near the border.

However, Al-Akhbar, a publication close to Hezbollah, notes that the truce does not mean giving up the fight against the "Zionist occupation."

This confirms that even with a temporary decrease in the intensity of hostilities, the Lebanese group can use the pause to regroup and rebuild. Israeli domestic political factors add to the difficulties. Netanyahu's ultra-orthodox coalition and its radical allies, such as Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, oppose any compromise with Lebanon. Their position is based on an aggressive policy on the "Arab issue", which makes a truce almost impossible without significant concessions from Lebanon, including a complete withdrawal across the Litani River.    Many believe that Israel is deliberately delaying the conclusion of a truce. An example is the repeated failures of negotiations with the Hamas movement. The Israeli leadership, confident in the "divine right" to the lands from the Nile to the Euphrates, continues to escalate, ignoring historical lessons such as the crusades, which ended in destruction, loss and failure.
