Tokayev meets with the head of Euronews: new perspectives for Kazakhstan and Central Asia
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas David the opening of a regional hub in the country and prospects for cooperation in the media sphere.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas David. The main topic of the discussion was the strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and one of the world's largest media channels.
Tokayev noted the importance of the opening of the Euronews regional hub in Kazakhstan, stressing that this event will be an important step towards promoting the economic, cultural and tourism potential not only of the country, but also of the entire Central Asian region. He stressed that the media platform will be able to become a bridge for dialogue between the countries of the region and the European Union.
Pedro Vargas David presented the Euronews Academy project, which will be aimed at training Kazakhstani journalists in modern technologies and professional standards. The President supported the initiative, emphasizing the importance of training specialists capable of working in a global information environment.
Issues of the global geopolitical situation were also discussed at the meeting. The head of Euronews noted the importance of Tokayev's reform course in ensuring sustainable development and transparency of Kazakhstan's society.
The opening of the Euronews hub and the implementation of educational projects open up new horizons for the development of Kazakhstan's media sphere, its integration into the global information space and strengthening the country's international image.
