The US Ambassador to Lebanon has warned the Lebanese airline Middle East Airlines (MEA) to impose sanctions if it takes people injured in Israeli attacks abroad to receive medical care. The warning is caused by concerns about violations of sanctions regimes that may affect the carrier. The MEA, which previously participated in humanitarian missions, including transporting the wounded, is now forced to review its policy on providing assistance to victims in order to avoid possible sanctions from the United States
