Argentine President Javier Miley has dismissed Foreign Minister Diana Mandino after Argentina supported a UN resolution lifting the embargo on Cuba. On Wednesday, the UN General Assembly for the 32nd time adopted a resolution calling on the United States to lift the economic embargo against Cuba, which was supported by 187 countries. In response to Argentina's vote, Miley decided to dismiss Mondino. Gerardo Verteyn, who previously served as the Ambassador of Argentina to the United States, has been appointed the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, which was officially confirmed by a representative of the president.
