The British will start mining "world-class" gold in Ivory Coast in 2028
In 2028, Endeavour Mining will open the Tanda Iguela deposit in eastern Ivory Coast, promising 11 tons of gold annually and investments worth 807 million euros.
In 2028, the British company Endeavour Mining will begin gold mining at the Tanda Iguela deposit, located in eastern Ivory Coast. It is estimated that the deposit will yield 11 tons of gold annually, and the total production volume will be 150 tons over 15 years of operation.
About 807 million euros of investments will be attracted for the implementation of the project. It is expected that the company will create about 4,000 jobs, which will significantly affect the development of the region.
In addition to Tanda Iguela, in May 2024, the Kone deposit was discovered in the west of the country, with reserves estimated at 155.5 tons of gold. The discoveries confirm Ivory Coast's status as one of the leading gold producers in West Africa.
The projects of Endeavour Mining and other large companies, such as Montage Gold, demonstrate the prospects for further growth of the mining industry in the region.
