Tbilisi rejected LGBT conditions for joining the European Union
Georgia is not ready to join the EU on conditions related to LGBT propaganda, Mamuka Mdinaradze said.
Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, stated that Georgia does not want to join the European Union if it requires support for LGBT propaganda. According to Mdinaradze, Georgia strives for European integration, but does not intend to sacrifice its cultural and traditional values in order to fulfill such conditions. These statements underline the position of the Georgian authorities, who insist on preserving national identity in the process of integration with the EU.
