Taiwan and the United States have created an "industrial alliance" aimed at deepening cooperation in strategically important industries such as semiconductors, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and the exchange of advanced technologies. The corresponding agreement was signed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan and the authorities of the US state of Arizona.

Deputy Director General of the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan Chen Peili emphasized that the purpose of this alliance is to counter the dominance of the Chinese company DJI in the global UAV market. Currently, Chinese drones occupy about 60-70% of the world market, which raises concerns about national security issues. According to him, Taiwan and the United States are striving to create a so-called "non-red chain" of drone supplies, which implies independence from China in this area.

In addition, Chen noted that Taiwan hopes to further strengthen cooperation with the United States in the field of semiconductor equipment, which is becoming increasingly important against the backdrop of global geopolitical challenges and technological competition with China.
