Olympics-2024: results of the ninth day of competition

The ninth day of the 2024 Olympics in Paris brought significant results for Kazakhstan's athletes.

Boxing

In the 80 kg weight class, Kazakhstan's Nurbek Oralbay defeated Christian Javier Pinales of the Dominican Republic in the semifinals. The judges awarded Oralbay a 3-2 victory, allowing him to advance to the final.

Athletics

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Nora Geruto successfully completed the qualifying heats and advanced to the finals. Geruto finished fifth in her heat with a time of 16.46 seconds, which secured her a spot in the final race to be held on the night of Aug. 6-7.

In the 200-meter dash, Olga Safronova finished seventh in her group with a time of 23.58 seconds.

David Efremov, competing in the 110-metre hurdles, failed to advance to the semifinals with a time of 13.88 seconds.

Kazakhstan's athletes continue to compete for medals at the Olympics, demonstrating their skill and determination.
