Oblivion Remake May Launch on April 3 — Insiders Expect Surprise Release
Detective Seeds claims Bethesda is preparing a lightning-fast launch of the updated classic.

Bethesda may release a remake of the legendary RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as early as April 3, 2025, according to insider Detective Seeds. Citing unnamed sources, he noted that while the date hasn’t been officially confirmed, the release is expected within the coming weeks.
According to the insider, the project is more than just a graphical upgrade — it’s a full remake. Combat, magic, and leveling systems have been reworked, AI has been improved, but the original atmosphere and structure of Oblivion have been preserved.
If accurate, Bethesda could announce the game without warning, launching it simultaneously on all major platforms. This would reflect the company’s new strategy focused on surprise releases and rapid audience engagement.
No official statement has been made by Bethesda yet. However, rumors about an Oblivion remake have been circulating since 2023, and previous appearances of the project in digital store databases have only fueled fans’ anticipation.
April is shaping up to be a hot month for gamers. In addition to the potential Oblivion release, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is launching on PlayStation 5 on April 16, and Forza Horizon 5 will debut on Sony’s console for the first time on April 29.
