Mirza Wahid called for a boycott of the Samaria Film Festival
Writer Mirza Wahid opposed the participation of a film based on his novel in a film festival held in the illegal settlement of Ariel in the occupied West Bank.
Mirza Wahid, a British writer of Indian origin, protested against the inclusion of a film based on his novel "The Collaborator" in the program of the July Samaria Film Festival. The film festival is being held in the illegal Zionist settlement of Ariel, located in the occupied West Bank. Wahid stated that he could not support an event related to the occupation regime and called for its boycott. The film adaptation of the novel was directed by Travis Hodgkins, but the writer himself categorically opposed the participation of his work in the festival, organized in the context of the ongoing occupation.
