Maduro: The UN's silence on the genocide in Gaza is complicity and cowardice
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has condemned the UN for its inaction on the genocide in Gaza, calling it complicity in Israeli actions and cowardly silence.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has sharply criticized the United Nations for its silence regarding, in his words, the genocide committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip. Speaking at the XXV World Congress on the Development of Special Economic Zones, Maduro said that such silence is not only cowardice, but also direct complicity.
"Humanity strives for freedom and independence, where the sovereignty of states and international law are respected, and not the absurd show that the UN has turned into," he stressed.
The President noted that the silence of the international organization takes place against the background of the murders of women and children in Gaza, where acts of violence are committed daily. He called such behavior a disgrace to world diplomacy and an example of the decline of the global justice system.
Maduro also stressed the need to reform international organizations so that they truly protect the rights of oppressed peoples and confront injustice. His speech provoked a response from the forum participants, becoming a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
