Israel's systematic attacks on children and medicine: alarming data on Lebanon — UNICEF, WHO, CNN
According to UNICEF and WHO, Israeli strikes have killed children and damaged medical infrastructure in Lebanon on a daily basis since October. More than 24 hospitals are in the danger zone, as confirmed by the CNN investigation.
UNICEF reports that since October 4, Israeli forces have killed at least one child and injured ten every day in Lebanon. According to WHO, 55 attacks on health workers and medical facilities have been confirmed. A CNN investigation has revealed that more than 24 hospitals are in a danger zone within 500 meters of Israeli strikes, of which 19 were in immediate danger. Three hospitals have been closed in Beirut and the suburbs. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports that 20% of hospitals in the country have been affected. Israeli actions also resulted in the deaths of 12 rescuers and 16 paramedics, damage to 34 hospitals and 107 ambulances.
