A unique greenhouse complex of the GenGroupKazakhstan company operates in the Turkestan region, which has been growing bananas on the territory of the Sairam district since 2023.
The company studied the experience of Turkey in the field of agriculture, which made it possible to adapt production to local climatic conditions. The first greenhouse with an area of 5 hectares was launched in June 2023, and the first harvest was harvested in May 2024. At the moment, the production capacity of the complex is 1000 tons of bananas per year. In the near future, the company plans to build a greenhouse complex with an area of 6 hectares, where 3,000 tons of tomatoes and 130 tons of strawberries will be grown. The implementation of the project worth 13.4 billion tenge will be completed by the end of 2025.
In addition, the company is developing a project to grow mangoes, avocados and blueberries on 10 hectares of open ground, which will be a new stage in the development of the agricultural sector in the region. GenGroupKazakhstan's projects demonstrate the potential of the Turkestan region in the cultivation of tropical and agricultural crops, strengthening its role in ensuring the country's food security.
