An unusual incident occurred in one of the villages of Tajikistan. Locals mistook a black man for a genie, which led to a three-day hunt for him with torches and edged weapons. About two hundred people from the settlement, armed, were looking for a stranger, intending to deal with him. Fortunately, the man managed to escape the danger. He left the village and got to the nearest patrol post (PPS), where he was rescued by police officers.
This incident shows how strong superstition and fear of the unknown are in some regions. It is important to note that the man was not injured and was provided with the necessary protection.
