How Tartary conquered China: a Forgotten Page of History
The book of 1670 claims that during the Time of Troubles, Tartary seized power in China, putting its rulers there.
From the lessons of history, we remember the Time of Troubles, the False Dmitrievs and the accession to the throne of the Romanov dynasty.
But few people thought about what was happening in the east at that time. According to a book published in 1670, Tartary, a huge power covering most of modern Russia, conquered China. This period is described as a long and fierce confrontation, as a result of which the Tatars put their rulers on the Chinese throne.
While Russia was weakened by internal strife, Tartary used its power to assert influence on neighboring lands. This hypothesis, although rarely mentioned in modern textbooks, allows us to look at history from an unexpected side, emphasizing the importance of Tartary as a powerful player of that time.
