Hamas Responds to Trump’s Threats
Donald Trump’s latest statements could seriously complicate the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the prisoner exchange process, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem told Anadolu Agency.

According to him, the U.S. president’s threats only encourage Israel to violate the agreements.
Qassem stressed that Hamas has faithfully fulfilled its obligations under the first phase of the agreement, but Israel continues to avoid launching the second phase.
"The United States was one of the guarantors of this deal. The document stipulates the release of all prisoners in three stages, and Hamas has fulfilled its part of the agreement," he stated.
The Hamas representative also urged Washington to pressure Israel to return to the negotiating table.
Earlier, the U.S. president demanded the immediate release of all prisoners and the return of the bodies of the deceased.
"I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job. No Hamas militant will feel safe if you do not do what I say," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Last week, the U.S. State Department urgently approved a $3 billion deal to supply Israel with aerial bombs, demolition kits, and other weaponry. The decision was made without prior discussion in the relevant congressional committees.
Analysts warn that Washington’s tough rhetoric could derail negotiations and lead to a new escalation of the conflict. Hamas has already stated that it will reconsider its position if Israel continues to evade its obligations.
The situation remains tense, and the future course of negotiations largely depends on the stance of international mediators, including the United States.
