Erdogan called on Islamic countries to boycott Israel
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Islamic countries to strengthen Israel's international isolation, stop exporting weapons and recognize Palestine. He condemned Israel's actions against Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, stressing the need for sanctions and strict international measures.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Islamic countries to boycott Israel and isolate it in the international arena. Erdogan condemned the decision of the Israeli Knesset to ban the activities of the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), calling it a step towards eliminating the concept of two states. He stressed that the war against Gaza and Lebanon requires strengthening international measures, including a ban on arms exports to Israel. The Turkish President also noted: Those who commit genocide against the Palestinians must be immediately sanctioned under international law. Israel continues to escalate military tensions by attacking Lebanon and threatening Iran, which requires strict international action. In response to Israel's actions, Turkey has already imposed new trade restrictions. Erdogan stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of Islamic countries and encouraging more states to recognize Palestine. "We hope that the results of today's meetings will be a ray of hope for the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon," the Turkish president said.
