On April 1, new rules for the duty-free importation of goods for personal use into the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) came into force.

Decision No. 94 of the EEC Council of September 27, 2023, which temporarily raised the duty-free import threshold, came to an end. Now the limits have returned to the previous values:

For goods imported in accompanied or unaccompanied baggage (except air transport) or on foot, the value must not exceed the equivalent of €500 and the weight must not exceed 25 kg.
For goods delivered by courier or sent in international mail, the value should not exceed the equivalent of 200 euros and the weight - 31 kg.

Recall that the duty-free import threshold was temporarily increased in 2022 to help people ordering goods for personal use in foreign online stores. In March, this temporary threshold was extended until October 1, 2024.
