Dagestan terrorist attack: liquidation of militants, losses among police officers and civilian casualties
As a result of a terrorist attack in Dagestan, six militants were killed, 16 people were taken to hospital, and eight police officers were killed. Total losses totalled 10 people, including two civilians.
As a result of the terrorist attack that took place in Dagestan, law enforcement agencies carried out a number of successful operations to neutralise the militants. Four militants were killed in the republic's capital, Makhachkala, and two more were eliminated in the city of Derbent. A significant number of people were injured during the operation. Sixteen people were taken to the Republican Clinical Hospital in Makhachkala, including 13 policemen who were wounded and three city residents.
Unfortunately, the victims of the shootings with the terrorists were eight police officers who died in the performance of their duties. The total death toll from the terrorist attack reached ten, including two civilians who were caught up in the fighting. This tragedy has caused serious difficulties in traffic flow, as can be seen in video footage from the scene: huge traffic jams have formed at the entrance to Makhachkala, further complicating the situation.
The incident underlines the danger of the terrorist threat in the region and the need to strengthen security measures to protect civilians and law enforcement officers. The tragedy affected many families and was a severe test for the entire republic.
