Canadian Laramide to explore for uranium in Kazakhstan: a major project in Chu-Sarysu
Laramide Resources has signed a three-year agreement with Aral Resources for uranium exploration at 22 sites in the Chu-Sarysu basin, Turkestan region, Kazakhstan.
The Canadian company Laramide Resources, specializing in the exploration and development of uranium assets, has signed a three-year agreement with Kazakhstan's Aral Resources. This will allow the company to begin exploration work in the Chu-Sarysu uranium basin, located in the Sozak district of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.
The agreement covers 22 license areas with a total area of about 5,500 square kilometers. This is a major project that, according to experts, can significantly strengthen Kazakhstan's position on the global uranium market.
Laramide Resources is already successfully operating in the USA and Australia, and entering the Kazakh market expands the geography of its activities. The company expressed confidence in the prospects for cooperation with local partners and in the significant potential of the region's uranium reserves.
Chu-Sarysu is one of the largest uranium basins in the world, which makes the project strategically important for both Kazakhstan and international investors. Exploration is scheduled to begin in the near future, and its results may open up new opportunities for uranium mining in the country.
