Cab drivers and alimony payers: income will be used to pay off debts to children
Cab drivers' income and other earnings will be seized to pay off alimony debts. The Ministry of Justice is introducing digital solutions and data analysis to track debtors' income through aggregators such as Yandex and inDriver.
Income of cab drivers, as well as earnings from stock exchange operations and betting in bookmaker offices can now be directed to pay off alimony debts. This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Justice Talgat Uali.
"We have developed new methods of alimony collection, including the introduction of digital technologies, analysis of big data and the use of artificial intelligence. In particular, we are working on expanding the capabilities of the Ministry of Labor's automated information system to integrate with information systems to track other income of debtors working through aggregators such as 'Yandex', inDriver and others," he said.
Currently, bailiffs are dealing with 291 thousand cases of alimony collection. Among the debtors are 281 thousand men and more than 11 thousand women.
