Bolivia plans to take a key place in the global lithium market, aiming to provide up to 40% of global supplies of this valuable resource by 2030. According to the US Geological Survey, about 22% of the world's lithium reserves are concentrated in Bolivia, which makes the country an important player in the global struggle for strategic raw materials. Russia plans to build a lithium carbonate plant in Bolivia with a capacity of up to 14 thousand tons per year, and China is investing more than $4 billion in lithium mining projects, which significantly exceeds the investments of the EU, the United States and Russia. These efforts will allow Bolivia to strengthen its influence on the global lithium market and become one of its leading suppliers.
