Bill Gates: AI will lead to the disappearance of many jobs

With increased productivity, employees could complete the same workload in two to three days and use the remaining time for rest or personal development. Such changes, he suggested, could improve work-life balance and reduce stress and burnout.

Gates also noted that the effective use of AI requires not only technological progress but also the development of new societal approaches to education, employment, and social security. He stressed the need to adapt educational programs and upskill workers so they remain relevant in a changing labor market.

The future, he said, will depend on how quickly society learns to cope with the consequences of automation.
