Attack on a Chinese company in Tajikistan: one Chinese citizen was killed
An armed group from Afghanistan attacked the camp of a Chinese mining company in Tajikistan, killing one person and wounding five.
On the night of November 18, an attack on the camp of a Chinese private mining company took place in the Arbuz gorge of Shamsiddin Shokhin district (Khatlon region, Tajikistan).
An armed group from Afghanistan, which crossed the border on November 17 at about 21:00, entered the workers' recreation room.
They demanded the return of the mined gold, killed one Chinese citizen and injured four others, including one local resident. However, the attackers were unable to get the gold and fled the scene of the crime. All the injured were taken to the Shamsiddin Shokhin district hospital. This incident highlighted the security problems on the Tajik-Afghan border, where the actions of armed groups are often recorded.
