At Shymkent College, the head teacher and teachers beat up students for commenting on TikTok. The victims filed a police report.
An incident occurred at the Parasat College in Shymkent, which caused a public outcry. The head teacher of the educational institution, Kazybek Arzhanov, and several teachers beat the students for a comment left under the video in TikTok. According to the victims, they were held and beaten in the basement of the college for more than three hours.
Not only the head teacher, but also physical education teachers, as well as undergraduates participated in the beating. Abdugafar, a 17-year-old student, said that he could barely stand on his feet, his face was covered in abrasions and swelling. Another victim, Konstantin, suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital. The parents who arrived at the college found traces of blood, which were hastily washed away.
The head teacher denied his guilt, claiming that he "understood" the conflict, and was beaten by undergraduates. "No, I didn't hit. There is no evidence. I hurt my hands in my yard. We washed the blood so that other teachers would not see it," Arzhanov said. The parents of the victims contacted the police, demanding that the perpetrators be brought to justice. They also decided to take the children away from the educational institution, saying that the college is not able to ensure the safety of students. The Shymkent Police Department reported that a criminal case has been opened and an investigation is currently underway.
