Due to the economic crisis and skyrocketing inflation, Argentina began importing its own banknotes in denominations of 1,000 and 2,000 pesos from China, as domestic printing became less economically profitable. Inflation in the country has reached a record high of 236.7% year—on-year, which is the highest in the world, complicating the financial situation and forcing people to look for alternative ways to cover the costs of money production.
