Android to Add Blocking Function in Case of Smartphone Theft
A new Android feature automatically locks your smartphone if you make sudden movements that indicate theft. The feature is available in Brazil and will be coming to other countries soon.
The Android operating system will have a new function that automatically locks the smartphone in case of theft. The developed algorithms are able to recognize sudden and unusual movements, for example, when the device is snatched from hands. In such situations, the smartphone screen is instantly locked, and a password code is required to unlock it. At the moment, the function is only available in Brazil, but the developers promise that it will become available in other countries by the end of the year. This new feature will become an additional level of protection for Android users around the world.
