Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced plans to open an international gas hub in Istanbul in 2025. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Turkish company Botas and the Russian Gazprom, which is aimed at strengthening energy ties between the countries. The gas hub will operate on the basis of the Istanbul Financial Center, providing gas trade and the formation of price indices. It is expected that this project will enhance Turkey's role as a key energy hub in the region and ensure stable gas supplies to Europe.
