An attempt to smuggle 100 kg of gold and 1.5 million euros was prevented in Libya
An attempt to illegally export 100 kg of gold and 1.5 million euros was stopped at the international airport of Misrata, Libya. The smugglers have been detained.
The Libyan Internal Security Agency reported on the prevention of an attempt to smuggle 100 kg of gold and 1.5 million euros at the Misrata International Airport. The illegal cargo was found in four suitcases during a security check on a flight departing for Turkey. All persons involved in the smuggling have been detained, and further investigation is ongoing.
