UK releases 1,100 more prisoners ahead of schedule to reduce prison workload
As part of reducing the workload on prisons with occupancy to almost 100%, the UK government released 1,100 more prisoners ahead of schedule, adding to the previous 1,700 released in September. These measures became an occasion for public debate, as people were seen meeting at the walls of prisons in luxury cars, and some did not hide their behavior by smoking marijuana.
