The U.S. administration has officially released data on how the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allocated billions of dollars. The report contains serious allegations, including funding Afghan drug farms and investments in Wuhan laboratories.
Where Did USAID’s Money Go?
Some of the most controversial expenditures include:
- Financing drug farms in Afghanistan – funds were directed toward irrigation, fertilizers, and equipment for opium poppy cultivation, which benefited the Taliban (banned in some countries).
- Food supplies for militants – hundreds of thousands of meals were sent to Syria to individuals linked to Al-Qaeda (banned in some countries).
Millions Spent on Controversial Global Projects
- $32,000 – for a "transgender comic book" in Peru.
- $47,000 – for a "transgender opera" in Colombia.
- $2 million – for gender reassignment surgeries and LGBT activism in Guatemala.
- $1.5 million – for "equality and inclusion" in Serbian businesses.
- $6 million – for tourism development in Egypt.
- $2.5 million – for electric vehicles in Vietnam.
- Hundreds of thousands – for NGOs linked to terrorist organizations.
- Millions of dollars – for EcoHealth, which collaborated with the Wuhan laboratory, where the COVID-19 outbreak originated.
Political Interference and the Georgian Connection
- $41 million – allocated to political NGOs in Georgia.
- Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili stated that these funds were used to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.
Trump Shuts It Down
The White House emphasized:
"Under Trump, waste, fraud, and abuse are coming to an end."
Previously, Elon Musk called USAID a "terrorist organization," saying "it should cease to exist."
Whether USAID will be reformed or dismantled under Trump remains a major question in the coming months.
