Saudi Arabia Rejects Normalization with Israel Without a Palestinian State
Saudi Arabia has declared that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel unless an independent Palestinian state is created.
Riyadh’s Response
This announcement came in reaction to Donald Trump’s remarks, in which he suggested relocating Palestinians and placing Gaza under U.S. control.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasized:
- The kingdom’s position remains unchanged.
- Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has clearly stated that Saudi Arabia will not compromise on this issue.
Is Normalization with Israel Still Possible?
Saudi Arabia was previously considered a key candidate for normalizing relations with Israel, particularly after the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, when the UAE and Bahrain established diplomatic ties with Tel Aviv.
However, the war in Gaza, which began in October 2023, halted the normalization process.
