Saudi Arabia has declared that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel unless an independent Palestinian state is created.

Riyadh’s Response

This announcement came in reaction to Donald Trump’s remarks, in which he suggested relocating Palestinians and placing Gaza under U.S. control.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasized:

Is Normalization with Israel Still Possible?

Saudi Arabia was previously considered a key candidate for normalizing relations with Israel, particularly after the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, when the UAE and Bahrain established diplomatic ties with Tel Aviv.

However, the war in Gaza, which began in October 2023, halted the normalization process.

What’s Next?

Saudi Arabia’s refusal to normalize ties without a Palestinian state could increase pressure on Israel and the U.S..
The future of these agreements will depend on developments in Gaza and the stance of other Arab nations.
