Harris emphasized that the restriction of food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies creates unbearable conditions for the civilian population. According to him, the blockade and power outages are worsening the situation in hospitals, causing shortages of medicines, and creating difficulties in meeting basic needs.

Ireland has previously called for the immediate cessation of restrictions on humanitarian supplies to Gaza and urged the international community to increase pressure on Israel to allow humanitarian organizations access to the affected areas.

Amid growing criticism, European leaders are increasingly calling for a review of Israel's actions regarding the Gaza Strip. However, no concrete steps have been taken by the Israeli government to ease the blockade.
