The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate amid harsh weather conditions. The director of the medical center, Said Salah, reported that three children have died from extreme cold, and the number of severe cases is increasing. Medical facilities are experiencing a shortage of resources, and doctors are struggling to treat cases of hypothermia among children and the elderly, who lack access to warmth.

According to Salah, medical centers and refugee camps are not equipped for winter conditions, and the existing infrastructure fails to provide adequate heating and shelter for the population. He has urgently appealed to competent authorities and international humanitarian organizations to provide housing units, tents, and fuel to protect people from the cold.

The crisis is worsened by an approaching cyclone, which is expected to bring a sharp drop in temperature, strong winds, and heavy rainfall. This creates additional risks for thousands of people already struggling due to widespread destruction and lack of humanitarian aid.

International organizations, including the UN and the Red Cross, have previously stressed the need for urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, difficult conditions and limited access to those in need have hindered timely assistance. Doctors and volunteers are working under emergency conditions, but without external support, ensuring safety and medical care for all affected people is becoming increasingly difficult.

The situation remains critical, and humanitarian organizations are calling on the international community to take immediate action to protect civilians, especially children, who are the most vulnerable to extreme weather conditions.
