"AlfaStrakhovanie" Pays Insurance Compensation to AZAL for Crashed Aircraft
The payout was made in February under an aviation hull insurance policy. While the exact compensation amount has not been disclosed, such insurance agreements typically cover the full cost of the aircraft as well as additional expenses related to the accident.
The crash of the Embraer 190 sparked widespread attention, and the investigation into its causes is still ongoing. AZAL, Azerbaijan’s national airline, previously confirmed that the aircraft was insured in compliance with international standards.
This case highlights the importance of aviation insurance, especially given the high cost of aircraft fleets and the need for swift financial compensation in the event of an accident.
