2024 marked a year of significant transformation for Kazakhstan. Highlights include:

  • Infrastructure modernization: construction of 18 million square meters of housing, repair of 7,000 km of roads, and the launch of new airport terminals.
  • Economic growth: strengthening of the manufacturing sector and a record harvest of 27 million tons of grain.
  • Social support: increases in pensions, benefits, and scholarships; construction of schools, kindergartens, and sports facilities; and the launch of the "National Fund for Children" program.

Tokayev emphasized that the foundation for reforms has been laid, with implementation set to continue.

The president addressed key challenges faced in 2024:

  • Natural disasters: Spring floods caused widespread damage, but the government quickly responded. A new water management strategy and modernization of dams and reservoirs are underway.
  • Technological incidents: The government’s rapid response to an aviation disaster in Mangystau demonstrated the country’s readiness.

International Success

Kazakhstan enhanced its global standing through peacekeeping initiatives and international forums. Tokayev highlighted strengthened ties with China, Russia, and Turkey, alongside a significant increase in foreign investment.
